Clatous Chama continued his impressive scoring run for Simba SC, while Ghampani Lungu provided a decisive assist for Orlando Pirates as several Zambian players made their mark across leagues in Europe, Africa and beyond.
Chama strikes again for Simba
Clatous Chama was once again on the scoresheet for Simba SC, finding the net in their 2-1 victory over his former club Singida Black Stars.
The 35-year-old midfielder opened the scoring after producing an excellent first touch to evade his marker before firing a powerful finish into the net.
The goal means Chama has now scored in consecutive matches as he continues to enjoy a productive spell for the Tanzanian giants.
Lungu delivers for Orlando Pirates
Ghampani Lungu also continued his strong start to life at Orlando Pirates, providing the assist for the only goal in their 1-0 victory over Sekhukhune United in the first leg of the MTN 8 semi-finals.
Lungu produced a clever flick to create the decisive opportunity, while fellow Zambia international Toaster Nsabata watched proceedings from the Sekhukhune bench.
Banda creates early Orlando Pride winner
Barbra Banda also played a key role in Orlando Pride’s narrow 1-0 victory over Washington Spirit.
The Zambia captain won possession near halfway before accelerating down the flank and setting up Haley McCutcheon, who scored just three minutes into the contest.
Elsewhere in the NWSL, Prisca Chilufya made her second start of the season for Angel City and played the full match in their goalless draw with NJ/NY Gotham.
Racheal Kundananji missed Bay FC’s meeting with Houston Dash through injury.
Mutandwa returns to Cagliari action
In Italy, Kingstone Mutandwa made his first competitive appearance for Cagliari since returning from his loan spell with Austrian side SV Ried.
The Zambian forward came off the bench and played until the 87th minute as Cagliari secured a 1-0 victory over Parma.
Joseph Liteta was an unused substitute.
Sibeene opens account in Sweden
James Sibeene scored his first goal for IFK Stocksund after recently joining the Swedish club from Sporting Lusaka.
However, his goal could not prevent Stocksund from suffering a 4-3 defeat against Vasalund.
Robert Banda also featured, coming on as a second-half substitute.
In the Czech Republic, Mathews Banda came off the bench in the 77th minute as Bohemians Praha drew 2-2 with Slavia Praha, while Benson Sakala was unavailable.

Peter Chikola continued his preparations with new club Xerez Deportivo by scoring in their 4-0 pre-season victory over Atlético Sanluqueño.

Mwamba makes Championship debut
British-born midfielder of Zambian descent Alan Mwamba made his EFL Championship debut for Charlton Athletic in their 2-1 victory over West Ham.
Mwamba, who had spent recent seasons with Charlton’s Under-21 side, signed a contract extension with the club in December 2025.
Phiri and Simukonda make Egyptian league debuts
In Egypt, Pascal Phiri finally made his league debut for Ittihad Alexandria after joining the club from Pyramids during the summer.
David Simukonda also made his first league appearance for El Gouna, coming off the bench after recently completing his move from Ceramica Cleopatra.
