Midfielder Chanda Mukuka has expressed his excitement after completing a move to Zanaco FC, saying he is eager to contribute to the club’s ambitions following his departure from Zesco United.
Mukuka joins the Bankers as a free agent, bringing an end to his spell at Zesco United after recently announcing his exit from the Ndola-based club.
The move also sees the creative midfielder reunite with head coach Mumba Numba, under whom he previously worked during his time at Zesco United.
Confirming the signing, Zanaco revealed that Mukuka has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract as the club continues to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season.
In a statement, the Bankers described the midfielder as an experienced and technically gifted player who will enhance the team’s quality.
“Zanaco Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of versatile and creative midfielder Chanda Mukuka, who joins the club as a free agent following his departure from Zesco United.”
“Mukuka has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract, bringing creativity, composure, technical quality and valuable experience to the squad as preparations for the new season continue.”
The club believes his arrival will provide additional depth and strengthen the team’s options as they target a successful campaign.
Mukuka expressed his delight after completing the move, saying he is looking forward to helping Zanaco achieve its objectives.
“I am very happy to join Zanaco FC. The club has a great vision and ambitions, and I am looking forward to being part of this journey,” Mukuka said.
“My aim is to work hard, contribute to the team’s success and help the club achieve its objectives.”
The midfielder becomes one of Zanaco’s key additions ahead of the upcoming MTN Super League season as the Bankers continue rebuilding under Mumba Numba.
